Mount Desert Island Marathon (Bar Harbor, Maine)
Jake Shoemaker weathered an aggressive early pace to hang on for 3rd place overall.

October 19
Santa Clara Bronco Cross Country Invitational (Sunnyvale, CA)
Chris Olley debuted with a stretch run victory in the Open race, while Josh Sealand (16th), Zach Swenson (24th), and Donald Taggart all posted promising results.

October 14
Reebok 10K for Women (Boston, MA)
Our women’s team of Mara Olson (8th), Maddy Berkson (14th), and Tasia Potasinski (19th) earned runner up team honors at the race formerly known as the Tufts 10K.

October 13
Bank of America Chicago Marathon (Chicago, IL)
Tom Tayeri hit a 2+ minute PR to run 2:42 and stay atop the World Marathon Majors 50+ charts. Victoria O’Neil also PRed by almost 2 min dropping her time to 2:51.

October 8
San Jose Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon (San Jose, CA)
Benedikt Bünz hit his target with a personal best 69:41.

September 29
BMW Berlin Marathon (Berlin, Germany)
Vitor Rodrigues earned a new personal best of 2:36.

September 28
Capital Cross Challenge (Sacramento, CA)
Courtney Heiner took 11th place in the Open race.

2019 Osaka-Castle NTT ASTC Sprint Triathlon Asian Cup and East Asian Championships
Marissa Ferrante earned a strong comeback 6th place to finish the season strongly.

September 15
IGT Downtown 5K (formerly CVS 5K) (Provident, RI)
Maddy Berkson earned third place individually.
Murakami NTT ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup (Murakami, Japan)
Marissa Ferrante had a tough day in the heat and did not finish.

September 13
Stump Invitational (Davis, CA)
Trevor Halsted earned 4th in the mostly collegiate meet hosted by his alma mater.

September 8
Golden Gate XC / PAUSATF GP (San Francisco, CA)
Trevor Halsted won his first cross country race of 2019.

September 4
JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge (San Francisco, CA)
Carmen Mejia finished third among women in the 3.5 mile event, running for SnapChat. Brendon Fish was 8th running for Facebook, while Matt Lenehan was 13th while competing for CREW.

September 1
Payette Lake Run 30K (McCall, Idaho)
Victoria O’Neil finished third in a controlled marathon training effort.

August 24
British Athletics Championships (Birmingham, UK)
Matt Leach took 7th in a tactical race, his highest career 5000m nationals finish.

August 21
British Milers Club Gold Standard Races Watford (Watford, UK)
Matt Leach took third in a four man blanket 1500m finish.

August 16
Folksam Grand Prix (Göteborg, Sweden)
Tori Tsolis won Heat B of the 800m and paced the 3000m.

August 14
British Milers Club Regional Meet (Eltham, UK)
Tori Tsolis took second in Heat A of the 800m in a season best 2:05.3.

August 11
European Team Championships Super League (Bydgoszcz, Poland)
Tori Tsolis competed in the 5000m for Greece as a last minute entrant, did not finish.

August 10
Bear Creek 10K (Orinda, CA)
Brent Varga took second in the East Bay trail race.

August 8
Gunn High School All Comers #3 (Palo Alto, CA)
Steven Grolle won the 1600 with Benedikt Bünz pacing.

August 4
Miguel Reyes Memorial 5K (Fresno, CA)
Steven Grolle took 9th.

July 31
Classique d’athlétisme de Montréal (Montreal, Québec)
Matt Leach took third in the 3000m, scoring a new personal best and outdoor club record of 7:59.

July 28
Wharf to Wharf (Santa Cruz, CA)
Marissa Ferrante and Caitlin Chrisman both enjoyed top 10 finishes and times under our previous club best for 6 miles. Maya Weigel, Courtney Heiner, and Melinda DiNapoli all picked up top 100 shirts, with Melinda earning top 10 40+ honors.

July 27-28
SEGAS Greek Championships (Patras, Greece)
Tori Tsolis finished 3rd in the 1500m and 2nd in the 800m, both in tactical affairs.

July 25
USATF Outdoor Championships (Des Moines, IA)
Ayla Granados competed in her first USA Outdoor Championships, putting together a quick last 800m, but finishing 8th in heat 2.

July 19
Stumptown Twilight (Portland, OR)
Season best for Tori Tsolis in her 800m win. Carmen Mejia also enjoyed a season best over 800 as well, as did Steven Grolle in the 1500m. Brendon Fish competed well in a quickly paced 800, but did not improve his 2019 best, while Ayla Granados and Tasia Potasinski also competed in the 1500m.

July 14
Magog CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup (Magog, Quebec)
Marissa Ferrante managed her energy well in the semis before uncorking a fantastic run in the final, earning her third podium spot and second pro win of 2019.

July 9
Sunset Tour (Asuza, CA)
1500m season best for Tasia Potasinski led results for the group including Ayla Granados, Tori Tsolis, and Maddy Berkson

July 6-7
Kelowna CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup (Kelowna, Canada)
Marissa Ferrante won her semifinal heat on Saturday than finished a close runner-up in the final on Sunday, taking her second podium spot of the year.

July 6
Night of 10,000m PB’s / European 10,000m Cup (London, UK)
Matt Leach helped Team GB to a silver medal, kicking home strongly for 21st place and 3rd British scorer in his second Euro 10K Cup in three years.

July 4
Palisades Will Rogers 10K (Pacific Palisades, CA)
Caitlin Chrisman earned the win.
Freedom Run 5K / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Morgan Hill, CA)
Jeff O’Brien competed in his first 5K in several years to earn 35th.
Fourth of July 10K (Wilson, WY)
Maddy Berkson took the victory.
Firecracker Mile (Truckee, CA)
Courtney Heiner was fourth for the women, while Brennan Holman was 2nd and Josh Gruver 8th for the men.

June 30
Princeton Qualifier (Princeton, NJ)
Ayla Granados earned a new lifetime best over 1500m.

June 29
Jim Bush Invitational / Southern California USATF Championships (Long Beach, CA)
Tasia Potasinski and Tori Tsolis were 4th and 7th place in the 800m, with Tasia just .06 off of her lifetime best.

June 23
Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon (Vancouver, Canada)
Stephanie Pancoast and Victoria O’Neil contested the race, earning 11th and 12th, with a new PR for Victoria.
One Mile Bang / PAUSATF Grand Prix
Team victory for the women, led by a course record by Ayla Granados. Tasia Potasinski was also under the previous record, followed by Marissa Ferrante, Maddy Berkson, and Carmen Mejia. The men’s team of Josh Sealand, Brendon Fish, Steven Grolle, Brennan Holman, and Josh Gruver took a close second place overall to Aggies.

June 22
Grandma’s Marathon (Duluth, MN)
Mara Olson ran a controlled race of 2:43:55 to hit the 2020 US Olympic Marathon Team Trials standard.

June 9-10
Portland Track Festival (Portland, OR)
Josh Sealand again shone, running a two second lifetime best for 3:45 over 1500m. Brendon Fish earned a solid third in his heat at 1:50.38. Ayla Granados, Tasia Potasinski, and Tori Tsolis (1500m) all his seasonal improvements, along with Carmen Mejia in the 800m. Maya Weigel, Matt Lenehan (both 5000m), and Steven Grolle and Maddy Berkson (1500m) competed, but did not improve on personal best times.

June 2
State Street Mile (Santa Barbara, CA)
Josh Sealand ran 3:54 for a huge PR and club road best. Brendon Fish dipped under 4:00 at 3:59, and Steven Grolle also cracked the top 10. For the women Maddy Berkson ran a strong personal best of 4:26, while Maya Weigel also PR’ed at 4:32 and Tori Tsolis improved on the year to 4:38. Josh Gruver was among the top age group finishers.

May 27
Reach for a Star 5K / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Brisbane, CA)
Maddy Berkson won her first PAUSATF GP race, while Matt Lenehan earned another top 10 finish.

May 19
Bay to Breakers 12K (San Francisco, CA)
PDC put 5 women in the top 13 and 5 men in the top 25, led by Mara Olson (2nd US and Bay Area) and Matt Leach (2nd Bay Area).

May 16
USATF Distance Classic (Eagle Rock, CA)
Maya Weigel (5000m), Maddy Berkson (1500m), and Tori Tsolis (1500m) all competed.

May 11
Oxy Invite (Eagle Rock, CA)
Ayla Granados improved her outdoor season best in the 1500m while Josh Sealand equaled his season best in the 5000m.

May 5
BMO Vancouver Marathon (Vancouver, Canada)
Chandler Kemp improved his personal best by 5 minutes to finish 8th overall and 3rd Canadian.

Devil Mountain Run Mile of Truth / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Danville, CA)
Maddy Berkson was third overall and second PA woman, while Brendon Fish earned 4th and third PA ahead of top 10 finishes from Steven Grolle and Trevor Halsted.
Richmond CAMTRI Spring Triathlon American Cup (Richmond, VA)
Marissa Ferrante took home the title, her first pro win!

May 2
Payton Jordan Invitational (Stanford, CA)
Maddy Berkson kicked to a narrow lifetime best in the 1500m, while Tasia Potasinski weathered a bumpy race in the same heat. Josh Sealand notched a second best ever lifetime mark in the 5000m while Maya Weigel had a solid opener in the 5000m.

April 28
The Great Race 4 Mile / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Los Gatos , CA)
Victoria O’Neil and Steven Grolle earned twin fifth places overall, while Melinda DiNapoli competed well amongst 40+ athletes.

April 20
Cardinal Classic (Stanford, CA)
Tori Tsolis won her heat of the 800m, while Tasia Potasinski took third in hers. Maddy Berkson took second in her heat of the 1500m with a season’s best. Josh Sealand and Steven Grolle took first and third in their heat of the 1500m as well. Marissa Ferrante ran her first track race since 2012, earning third in her heat of the 5000m.

April 19
Bryan Clay Invitational (Azusa, CA)
Ayla Granados took fourth in her 1500m heat.

April 15
Boston Marathon (Boston, MA)
Caitlin Chrisman snagged her second best time ever, clocking 2:40:29 for 16th overall American. Tom Tayeri shot to the top of the World Marathon Majors age group lists with a 2:44:59.

April 14
Stow Lake Stampede 5K / PAUSATF Grand Prix (San Francisco, CA)
Maya Weigel won with a quick time in the 16:30s with Mara Olson second and Maddy Berkson 4th. Christine Hoffman also opened her 2019 with a top 10 finish. For the men, Trevor Halsted kicked home for a negative split runner-up performance while Matt Lenehan finished 6th.
Easter 5K (Durango, CO)
Maggie Yount won overall while pushing the stroller, just ahead of Sam.

April 7
Credit Union SacTown 10 / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Sacramento, CA)
Chandler Kemp was only one second off the club best, with a new PR of 50:55 for 7th. Mara Olson had a strong 6th place. Matt Lenehan was among the top 15, Victoria O’Neil among the top 20, and Brent Varga in the top 10 in his age group.
GO! St. Louis Marathon (St. Louis, MO)
Maggie Yount earned the victory in her hometown race.

March 31
Stanford Invitational (Stanford, CA)
Maddy Berkson competed in the 800m
Mike Fanelli Track Classic (Hayward, CA)
Carmen Mejia opened her outdoor season in the 800m.

March 30
Stanford Invitational (Stanford, CA)
Matt Leach improved his 10,000m best to 28:21, at that time top British mark and 4th in the world for 2019. Maddy Berkson and Maya Weigel also competed in the 1500m.
Mike Fanelli Track Classic (Hayward, CA)
Chandler Kemp set a lifetime best in the 10,000m, running 29:57, while Josh Sealand raced to his second fastest time ever in the 5000 (14:27), and Courtney Heiner had a strong opener in the 3000m steeple. Benedikt Bünz opened his season in the 1500m.
Golden Gate Headlands Half (Sausalito, CA)
Matt Lenehan took the victory.

March 24
Skechers Performance LA Marathon (Los Angeles, CA)
Amy Schnittger ran a gutsy 2:45:02 for 14th place.
Oakland Marathon Relay / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Oakland, CA)
A team of Victoria O’Neil, Mara Olson, Olivia Mickle, and Tasia Potasinski earned first place in the inaugural edition of this event on the Pacific Association Grand Prix.

March 17
Newport-Mesa Spirit Run (Newport Beach, CA)
Josh Sealand took third in a new PR of 4:05, while Maya Weigel was 4th. Benedikt Bünz and Carmen Mejia also placed in the top 10 on each side. All came back in the 5K, where Maya won.
Shamrock Run (San Jose, CA)
Marissa Ferrante ran as the designated female leprechaun to catch, and was not caught.

March 16
Hornet Invite (Sacramento, CA)
Matt Leach opened his track season with a 3rd place 3:48 in the 1500, Brendon Fish also competed, but was hampered by a hamstring during the race.

March 6
Aggie Open (Davis, CA)
Courtney Heiner won her second straight 2K steeple, while Josh Gruver earned second place in the same event.
Sarasota-Bradenton CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon (Sarasota, FL)
Marissa Ferrante got her first top 10 of 2019.

March 3
Napa Valley Marathon Half (Napa, CA)
Chandler Kemp won the inaugural half event in a new personal best.
Tokyo Marathon (Tokyo, Japan)
Dena Evans and Melinda DiNapoli earned their sixth World Marathon Majors star.

John Frank Memorial 10 Miler/ PAUSATF Grand Prix (Redding, CA)
Trevor Halsted took third place.

Marissa Ferrante opened her season in the top 25.

Ayla Granados and Tasia Potasinski competed in the 2 Mile, but neither improved upon season bests.

Ayla Granados earned a club best in her first indoor mile.

Tasia Potasinski earned a new personal best and USATF Indoors qualifier of 9:23, while Maddy Berkson narrowly missed a personal best in the same event.

Great Stirling XCountry International Match (Stirling, UK)
Ayla Granados made her second appearance for Team USA, finishing 17th.
UW Indoor Preview (Seattle, WA)
Five athletes competed in multiple events, yielding results including indoor club bests at 600m (Carmen Mejia and Benedikt Bünz), 800m (Maddy Berkson), 1000m (Mejia), and Mile (Berkson). Tori Tsolis also competed in the mile.

Los Gatos Resolution Run (Los Gatos, CA)
Melinda DiNapoli finished second in the icy trail race along the Los Gatos Creek Trail.
