Brooklyn Mile (Brooklyn, NY)
Matt Leach placed eleventh in the Trials of Miles Fast Movers Men’s Mile.

August 4
Ed Murphey Classic (Memphis, TN)
Aneno Susan broke the 2:00 barrier for the first time in 1:59.95 for third place in the 800.

Sir Walter Miler (Raleigh, NC)
Miles Smith ran 4:01.08 for 8th place.

July 23
Wharf to Wharf (Santa Cruz, CA)
Ayla Granados and Jen Odenheimer were tenth and 13th for the women. Matt Lenehan was 15th on the men’s side. Donald Taggart, Brian Hicks, and Andrew Roos also raced.

July 22
Sound Running Sunset Tour (Los Angeles, CA)
Aneno Susan was third in the 800 in a PR of 2:01.26. Miles Smith was fourth in heat two of the 800 while Chris Olley was eighth in the 5k. Faith Reynolds and Sarah Gayer finished first and second in the open mile, and Sarah Johnson ran the open 5k.

July 21
Trials of Miles 5k on the Beach (Rockaway Beach, NY)
Matt Leach finished second on the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk.

July 19
Tracksmith Twilight 5000 (San Francisco, CA)
Jason Intravaia and Matt Lenehan finished third and eighth respectively in the fastest heat, which Donald Taggart helped pace. Sarah Gayer PR’d and Sarah Johnson also competed.

July 16
Blobfest Half Marathon (Phoenixville, PA)
Liam Conway won the Blobfest Half Marathon by almost five minutes.

July 15
USATF Women’s 6 km Championships (Canton, OH)
Kayla Knapp finished 14th in 19:32, a PR and new club record.

July 14
Los Gatos All Comer’s Meet (Los Gatos, CA)
Aneno Susan set a club record of 54.93 in the 400.

July 9
IRONMAN Switzerland Thun (Thun, Switzerland)
Kevin Bishop finished 27th in the pro field in his first 140.6.

June 17
Grandma’s Marathon (Duluth, MN)
Mara Olson set a new lifetime best in 2:38, Jen Odenheimer ran her second quickest time ever in 2:40. Victoria O’Neil competed, but didn’t PR and Alex Dickinson had bad luck with a race week injury that prevented him from finishing.

Brackley 10K Chicken Run (Brackley, UK)
Oliver Langford won this 10K run while visiting family in England.

June 11
The Dipsea Race (Mill Valley, CA)
Vitor Rodrigues (#38) and Tom Tayeri (#93) tested themselves in the 112th running of this Bay Area classic.

June 10
MasterCard Mini 10K (New York, NY)
Maya Weigel earned 21st place in this historic all female race.

Adrian Martinez Classic (Concord, MA)
Susan Aneno finished 6th in the 800m in a downpour.

June 3-4
Portland Track Festival (Gresham, OR)
Sarah Gayer and Miles Smith both set new lifetime bests in the 1500m, while Sarah Johnson competed in both the 5000 and the 1500.

June 3
World Mountain and Trail Championships (Innsbruck - Stubai, Switzerland)
Rafal Matuszczak finished 23rd in the 40K event, helping Poland to a 4th place team finish.

European 10,000m Cup (Pacé, France)
Matt Leach’s 21st place finish helped Great Britain to a top 5 team result.

Stow Lake Stampede 5K / PAUSATF Grand Prix (San Francisco, CA)
Kayla Knapp and Maya Weigel finished 1-2, while Jason Intravaia’s second place led 6 athletes in the top 23 as the men’s team finished second. Morgan Meade and Yuzki Oey also competed.

May 28
USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix (Los Angeles, CA)
Susan Aneno took 7th in a new personal best of 2:01.65.

May 27
USATF Distance Classic (Los Angeles, CA)
Miles Smith earned a season’s best of 1:48.98 in Heat 3 of the 800m.

May 21
USATF Bermuda Grand Prix (Devonshire, Bermuda)
Susan Aneno earned a very narrow runner-up finish (.03) in this Continental Tour Gold event.

Bay to Breakers 12K (San Francisco, CA)
The women’s centipede won the competition in our first outing, while the men finished second in their second year.

Ironman 70.3 Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA)
Kevin Bishop won the half ironman distance event.

May 20
Night of the 10,000m PBs / British 10,000m Championships (London, UK)
Matt Leach finished 5th among British athletes in this deep international field.

May 6
Bay Bridge Half Marathon (Oakland, CA)
Mara Olson (1:15) and Amy Schanz (1:17) finished 1-2

Devil Mountain Run Mile of Truth / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Danville, CA)
Chris Olley and Kayla Knapp broke the tape in each individual race, while the men earned a third place finish. Kirk Scheibelhut was fifth, Oliver Langford was 8th, Donald Taggart was 12th in a PR, and Andrew Roos was 28th. Backing up Kayla for the women were Faith Reynolds in third, Sarah Gayer in 5th, and Sarah Johnson in 6th.

May 5
On Running Track Fest (Walnut, CA)
Susan Aneno set a personal best of 2:01.74 to win Heat 2 by 3 seconds.

April 30
Eugene Marathon / Half Marathon (Eugene, OR)
Maya Weigel narrowly missed the win in her second quickest time ever, 1:12:04. Jen Odenheimer was 11th and Victoria O’Neil was 22nd. Alex Dickinson wasn’t able to finish due to a sore hamstring.

April 29
Great Race 4 Mile / PAUSATF Grand Prix (Los Gatos, CA)
Kayla Knapp and Izzi Gengaro went 1-2 with Knapp setting a new club best of 21:12. Our men’s team won the title with Donald Taggart, Trevor Halsted, Kirk Scheibelhut, Oliver Langford, and Ben Mears all coming home in the top 16.

April 28
Penn Relays (Philadelphia, PA)
Matt Leach finished runner-up in the 5000m in the driving rain, while Miles Smith competed well for 4th in the Olympic Development 800m.

April 21
Payton Jordan Invitational (Stanford, CA)
Aneno won the 800m in a tactical 2:03 in breezy conditions. Miles Smith snuck down to 3:43 in the 1500. Brianna Bourne chopped another 5 seconds from her lifetime best to 4:24. Faith Reynolds earned 3rd in Heat 3 of the 1500m as well. In the evening, Claire Green kicked strongly to dip under 16:00 at 15:59, and Chris Olley his 13:55 for 5000m in his season opener at that distance.

April 17
Boston Marathon (Boston, MA)
Matt Lenehan was 52nd for men overall, Tom Tayeri made the 55+ age group podium, Melinda DiNapoli qualified automatically for next year’s World Marathon Majors Championships, and Dena Evans ran her quickest time since 2014.

April 14-15
Johnny Mathis Invitational (San Francisco, CA)
Claire Green ran away with the 1500m by 18 seconds, while on the men’s side, Oliver Langford earned a lifetime best, and both Sebastian Hanson and Iman Bayat posted season openers.

Bryan Clay Invitational (Azusa, CA)
Faith Reynolds PR’ed in the 5000m by nearly 30 seconds, while Brianna Bourne and Sarah Gayer both hit lifetime bests in the 800 (and competed in the 1500m as well). Miles Smith dropped his 1500m time to 3:44, and both Benedikt Bünz (1500m) and Sarah Johnson (5000m) competed, but didn’t earn PRs or season’s bests.

April 2
Sactown 10 Miler / USATF Grand Prix (Sacramento, CA)
Yuzki Oey earned 17th place.

Carlsbad 5000 (Carlsbad, CA)
Tom Tayeri won the 55+ age group yet again, also earning top 25 overall.

March 31-April 1
Mike Fanelli Classic (San Francisco, CA)
Faith Reynolds moved her 1500 personal best down to 4:30, Sarah Johnson improved her 2023 season best in the 5000m to 17:10, Sarah Gayer had a competitive 1500/800 double, and Benedikt Bünz had a season opener in the 1500 only 4 seconds from his personal best.

Stanford Invitational (Stanford, CA)
Kayla Knapp debuted in the 5000m in a front-running 15:56, Aneno Susan PR’ed in the 1500 by 7 seconds to 4:24, Izzi Gengaro set a nearly 30 second personal best in the 10,000m to 34:47, and Miles Smith had a narrow lifetime best of 3:45 in the 1500 before doubling back for a strong 800m season opener in 1:50. Chris Olley battled through a debut effort in the 10,000m, while Weronika Matuszczak ran her first 25 lapper in several years, and Ashley Lewis opened her outdoor 800m campaign.

March 26
Lavaman Triathlon (Waikoloa, HI)
Brianna Maroney was 10th overall in the Olympic Distance event, while winning her age group.

March 25
Project 13.1 (Valley Cottage, NY)
Matt Leach earned 4th place in 63:04, just sevens seconds off his personal best.

March 19
Oakland Running Festival (Oakland, CA)
Ayla Granados won the 5K in a steady effort, while Ben Rigby earned a top 10 finish in the half marathon.

She.is.Beautiful (Santa Cruz, CA)
Dena Evans was fourth in the 5K, while Melinda DiNapoli was 6th in the 10K.

March 18
Cardinal Classic (Stanford, CA)
Brianna Bourne and Faith Reynolds PR’ed while going 1-2 in Heat 2 of the 1500m, while Sarah Gayer also had a season’s best. Aneno Susan and Ashley Lewis both dipped down to the 400m, where they opened with 55 and 56 respectively, before earning the Heat 2 4x400m win with Bourne and Reynolds. Weronika Matuszczak, Izzi Gengaro, and Sarah Johnson were 5-7th place in the 5000m.

March 5
Tokyo Marathon (Tokyo, Japan)
Tom Tayeri clocked 2:42:43 to place among the top 55+ competitors at yet another World Marathon Major.

Napa Valley Marathon / Half Marathon (Napa, CA)
Kayla Knapp broke the tape in a lifetime best 1:14:34 while Matt Lenehan was second in a PR 1:06:32. Jen Odenheimer also finished fourth.

March 4
John Frank NorCal 10 Miler (Redding, CA) / PAUSATF Grand Prix
Trevor Halsted took 4th in this cold and wet race.

February 25
Ken Shannon Invitational (Seattle, WA)
Aneno Susan dropped her indoor club best AGAIN to 2:03:07, a new lifetime indoor personal best as well.

Trials of Miles Twilight Indoor (New York, NY)
Sarah Johnson jumped in a 3000 while on a trip back east, earning second place and an indoor PR.

February 22-23
Transgrancanaria (Gran Canaria, Spain)
Rafal Matuszczak earned 5th in the El Gigante (Vertical Kilometer), and 4th in the 24K Starter events, in this 23rd year of the world famous trail running festival.

February 18
Cal All Comers #2 (Berkeley, CA)
Brianna Bourne won the 3000m and took second in the 800m. Faith Reynolds took second and fourth in the same events, while Sarah Johnson nearly PR’ed in 3rd over the 3000m distance. Sarah Gayer ran a strong opening meet in the 1500 and 800, taking seventh in the former. On the men’s side, Oliver Langford was third in the 3000m, while Benedikt Bünz was fifth after leading much of the race. He doubled back for seventh in the 800m.

February 17
USATF Indoor Championships (Albuquerque, NM)
Ashley Lewis competed in the 800m and finished fifth in her heat at her first US championships.

February 12
Winter Winds Road Race 4 Miler (Huntsville, AL)
Cody Goodwin raced to 4th place overall, 1st in his age group.

February 11
The Kook Run 10K (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA)
Donald Taggart got in a solid training effort to finish 11th in a top field.

February 10-11
BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Boston, MA)
Aneno Susan lowered her club indoor 800m best to 2:04.56, while Carmen set a new indoor club best in the 1000m. Mile Smith opened his indoor campaign with a PR 4:01 mile and Liam Conway also had a rust buster in the same event.

February 8
Ayo Fall Dream Mile 3000m (London, UK)
Matt Leach was 3rd in the 3000m after leading most of the way.

February 5
Chichester 10K (Chichester, UK)
Matt Leach won this road race on a motor circuit in a course record 29:52.

Kaiser San Francisco Half Marathon (San Francisco, CA)
Chris Olley won the 10K in a PR 29:47, while the women went 1-2-3-4-6-7 (Kayla Knapp in 33:25, Ayla Granados, Izzi Gengaro, Faith Reynolds, Sarah Johnson, and Weronika Matuszczak). Matt Lenehan was second and Jason Intravaia fourth in the Half (3rd on chip time). Jen Odenheimer was 2nd for women overall, while Melinda DiNapoli won the 50+ and Dena Evans was 3rd in the 45+.

February 4
Oakland Track Club Winter Classic Two Mile (Oakland, CA)

Miles Smith won for the men, and Brianna Bourne and Sarah Gayer went 1-2 for the women.

January 28
UW Invitational (Seattle, WA)
Aneno Susan ran a 2:05.46 to lower Ashley Lewis’s two week old club best in the indoor 800m. Lewis also ran another 2:08.

January 15
Chevron Houston Marathon (Houston, TX)
Amy Schanz took 15th place with a 2 minute personal best of 2:38. Jeannette Mathieu was unable to finish due to a race week illness.

January 14
UW Indoor Preview (Seattle, WA)
Ashley Lewis set a new club indoor 800m best of 2:08.48. Carmen Mejia took 2nd in Heat 2 of the 1000m, and fifth in Heat 1 of the 600m.

Hamburg Indoor Championships (Hamburg, Germany)
Benedikt Bünz took 3rd both in the 1500m and 800m.

January 8
Hamburg Cross Country Championships (Hamburg, Germany)

Benedikt Bünz did the double, earning 4th in the 3K and 7th in the 10K.

January 7
Prom’ Classic 10K (Nice, France)

Fabio Fornarelli stepped up in distance for top 100 in a deep field.

Kiwanis Resolution Run (Mountain View, CA)
Dena Evans won the 5K and Melinda DiNapoli was second in the 10K.
